The JATCs are some of the most difficult schools to get into. They require a panel interview and also being indentured from your local IBEW union hall. While attending these schools you will also be working in the trade to wherever they assign you. Typically every 6 months you will go to your JATC and do a week long course. You will get a lot of on the Job training as well as bookwork. It is not easy and not everyone will make it. But graduating from a JATC is one of the most recognized certifications a Journeyman Lineman that you can hold.
